Dentistry – One of the keys to good health is a healthy mouth. Poor dentition can lead to a multitude of health complications that extend beyond a painful tooth. Unhealthy teeth and gums can lead to more serious problems developing in vital organs such as the liver, kidneys, bladder and the heart. We believe that a healthy set of teeth is one of the cornerstones to overall excellent health and vitality.
As such, we encourage good preventative dental care at home, be it through daily brushing of your pets teeth (It is the BEST way to keep them clean!), to dietary advice, to food and water additives to keep those teeth clean.
If your pets teeth get to the point that you require professional help we perform basic and advanced dentistry procedures – from an ultrasonic scale with a prophylactic paste and polish, to extractions. These are procedures that are performed under anaesthesia for your pets safety (and that of the Vet dentist!). It never ceases to amaze how much dental disease affects modern pets, but also how much modern dental care can make a difference to these pets lives.
